Is balance.

Knowing that everything isn’t going to be some beautiful fairytale every single day. Knowing that there will be hardship and troubles and fights that seem like the end of the world. It is being strong when the other is weak and letting the other person be your strength when you feel too weak to move on. It’s having someone that calls you out when you aren’t living up to your potential.

But love is a beautiful balance. Playing off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses and becoming a dream team. Being willing to listen to other points of view and realizing that your own way isn’t always the right way. Looking at each other and knowing that the bond that’s been created is divine. Knowing that you have a best friend and a confidant. Someone willing to fight for you.

It isn’t easy. It isn’t perfect. But when it’s real, you’ll know it. And if you know, you don’t give up on it.
